Citrine description

Citrine is said to attract prosperity, wealth and good fortune. This particular stone also has an uplifting effect during times when you need it most. Because of its powerful effect, you certainly don't need a large piece. It gives you energy and teaches you to look more positively at difficult situations. Citrine can also help with more self-confidence and open up to others. 

The color of citrine can vary from almost transparent to very dark yellow to almost orange or even almost black. It just depends on what country they come from. There is a lot of fake citrine on the market unfortunately. This is often burnt amethyst or rock crystal. Real citrine almost never grows as a cluster like the amethyst and rock crystal you often see. You have exceptions but even those tend to grow more like candle quartz, with points on the side.
